Craig Eadon. Craig came down at the finish on Sunday 22 August and suffered some serious injuries, chiefly a compound fracture of his hip joint, but also a fractured cheek bone, eye-socket and temple. He was taken by ambulance to Flinders Medical Centre and may remain there for several weeks (currently in room C5 Orthopaedics). He is in good spirits and would appreciate calls and visits. His recovery will be long but the best wishes of the club are with him.

New riders, race etiquette and tactics. New riders or anyone unsure of race etiquette and tactics, particularly in handicap races, are urged to contact John Amos who has volunteered to tutor those interested in this area. Written information is also available in two articles on this site; bunch skills for cyclists and racing in bunches.
Important safety issues revisited.
New and renewal membership. A membership form for 2010 is available for download. Renewals were due on 1st January 2010. This year we are encouraging online renewals by downloading the form (a MS Word document), completing and emailing to the registrar. A signed hard copy can be brought to the club at your first race for 2010. Payment can be by EFT, cheque or cash and is required before your first race. If you are emailing your completed form please indicate your preferred method of payment (details for completing payment are on the form).
Marshalling 2010. Again every member is required to marshal at least once during the year unless you were elected to the committee at the AGM on 1st November 2009. This year however you will be able to opt out of marshalling by payment of a $50 levy. This money will be used to pay anyone who volunteers to do additional marshalling. You can indicate your preference when you complete your membership renewal.
